During a meal today in Beijing, the professor I was working with suggested that if I wanted some food to “减肥 (Jiǎnféi),” I could drink some Puerh Tea after every meal. Skeptically, I looked up what Puerh Tea was on Insightlopedia and found out a lot of information about this miracle tea:

Puerh Tea (Pu’er, Puer, or Bolay) is a special type of tea made of Da Yeh (large leaf) species of tea trees in Yunnan, China. These trees are very ancient in some cases, ranging from half a century to over 2000 years old. It has been gaining popularity around the world in recent years.
Puerh Tea is absolutely amazing for weight loss purposes because it suppresses the weight gain effect of saturated fats. Additionally, it has been scientifically proven to decrease blood cholesterol levels and improve fat metabolism. Yep, right after you eat some fatty foods (as is the case in Hong Kong, where Puerh Tea is particularly popular), two glasses of Puerh Tea will do the job. This is due to the double-fermentation of Puerh Tea leaves, which adds essential micro-nutrients that aid in improving overall health.
Instructions: Drink two glasses after Lunch and Dinner for best weight loss results. You will see your fat levels slowly decrease as well.
