There are diffrences in asian cuisine as well as the culture. Cambodian asians are the closest to black culture becuase they love talapia fish and brandy. You can find entire generations from the grandmother to the youngest daughter, dipping fish in fish sauce while taking shots of brandy.

The prefered brandy of course is Cristian Brothers, but when the night is young expect to see some Remy shots going around as well. This is the best time to meet the mother of your girlfriend, especially if you’re black! after a couple shots, prepare yourself to be called akmow (black) and sent to the store for more drinks! If your good and can actually buy the drinks, you are family for life!

I can’t think of the study off-hand, but there’s been a study on Cambodian-American social issues that highlighted the fact that the US sent the majority, if not all, Cambodians into inner-city areas that today most Cambodian youth associate themselves closer to inner-city culture than anything else.

Just an interesting coincidence if the Talapia+Fish thing is a transplanted cultural thing.

Tilapia is awful. As far as fish go, it is a really, really bad choice. People complain about tuna and shark with mercury, but if they knew how tilapia was produced, they would definitely think twice!

Ummm this post is unrealistic. Not all black people eat Talipia and drank brandy. After all, I have been black for the last 27 years of my life. I first tasted/ found out about Tilipia fish 2 weeks ago at a restaurant and I have never tasted brandy.

I think we enjoy fish in general and not just Tilapia fish. And I’m sorry, but Cristian Brothers is not the prefered brandy. It’s either Hennessey, Remy, or Martell. You bring a bottle of E&J or Cristian Brothers to my house, I’m going to tell you go play in freeway. haha.
