I have in the past noticed that there are assumptions about Asian women from non-Asian people who can’t tell one from the other (”They all look the same to me.”)

I want to clear up some confusion about this, and that is why in this post, I will give you five, yes five, different types of Asian girls, and the difference between them.(As for my fellow Asians, please forgive me as I generalize)

1. The “Wholesome” or “Perfect” Asian Girl.

Awww, just one look at her and you’ll melt from all the perfection involved in such a woman. See that perfect shiseido skin? That sweet demure smile? She is definitely one of the girls that you would love to take home to Mom and Dad. She looks so innocent, she wouldn’t ever do anything immoral or troublesome (or so one would like to think.)  These kinds of girls are usually seen in Heaven, your dreams, and more often than not, in Korean dramas.

2. The Peppy, Perky Asian Girl.

These kinds of girls like anime/manga a lot. they go to every anime convention in a 1000 kilometer radius, and cosplay something different at all of them. They maintain a separate wardrobe just for anime conventions. They’re also very happy. All the time. But much like an episode of Hamtaro, there is so much cuteness and perkiness to their already bubbly personality, that you really end up finding it slightly repulsive(but at least it keeps away the emo girls). These kinds of girls are seen at Sanrio Land, SakuraCon, or really any anime convention. In cosplay of course. Worst case scenario: They’re yaoi/shojo fangirl stalkers. Which I became a victim of by cosplay up as Light Yagami with my friend as L at one convention I went to.

(Oddly enough, the stalker was dressed as Yuna too.)

3. The Ladyboy.

Watch out, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is. I need not tell you anything more, except that they’re everywhere. And it’s hard to tell the difference between them and actual girls sometimes.

4. The “Unwholesome” Asian Girl.

These are well, the girls that have the tattoos, wear the questionable outfits, and may have had plastic surgery in the past to improve, certain features that…ok, let’s be real, they look like prostitutes. They also scare me a bit, because I think they’re girls that work for gangsters or something, So I’m really nice to them if they talk to me, and walk away quickly. Usually seen in car magazines, alleyways, street corners, and coin casinos, and I’m sure we all know who owns those…

5. The “Traditional” Asian Girl

You can look at these girls, and can tell that they’re totally  from the motherland. The stereotypical face structure, eyes, and excessive attention from the media in America for being “So beautiful”.  Ugh.

Hopefully now, Americans can now tell some sort of difference in Asian women.

Ever notice how Asians want to look more Americanized, but Americans value the whole “Asian look?”

Perhaps we should switch clothes with them,
whenever they slim up, that is.

And one last thing…Sandra Oh is NOT HOT who had that idea when they put her face on TV?
