iPhone and College Wi-Fi?!?

Submitted by Kyliente on Thursday, 30 October 20082 Comments

I have been using my iPhone  (originally had iPod Touch) for awhile now on my college university campus at Western Washington University and have been getting tired of logging in when wanting to use the campus wifi network. It gets annoying when you turn your iPhone on sleep and have to type in that username and password. It might not be that bad for you, but my passwords always consist of a lot of symbols, letters, and numbers so it takes me quite some time.

WELL!! I found this neat program on the app store called Easy Wi-Fi. It allows you to enter in your crudentials into the program and it will remember them! I had a problem though… they did not have my university listed! Didn’t matter though; I filled out their forms for a network they didn’t have and they responded within minutes! It was amazing. I have never seen such fast responses from anyone.

The company is Devicescape.com if you are interested. Just look for them in the app store. The program also supports Hotspots like T-Mobile, AT&T, and many more. If you have an iPhone and go to Hotspots a lot, go get this app.

I should warn you, it costs money, but well worth it.

YaY! You finally wrote another article! :P

You were talking about this with someone on Friday right? Awesome idea! Too bad I don’t have an iPhone :/ Perhaps you should include how much it cost, so people get a better understanding about if it’s worth it or not.

Does it store multiple wi-fi places at the same time, or just one wi-fi info?
