AADAP (Asian American Drug Abuse Program) turns 36 this year and will celebrate at its annual concert fundraiser, “Showtime 2008 - Changing Lives and Saving Families,” Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the 1,300 seat historic Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA “Aloha Style”. In addition to the concert it includes an award presentation, raffle, silent auction and dessert reception.

Hosting an “Aloha” theme with opening act from Hawaii by Filipino-American entertainer, singer and actress Jasmine Trias, who rose to fame as the third place finalist on season 3 of American Idol.; and Main Performance by Hoku Hanohano Award winning group Na-Kama, from Honolulu showcasing a unique blend of traditional Hawaiian music with a contemporary touch along with performance by Keali’i O Nalani, a popular halau based in Los Angeles.

Award Honorees include the Corporate Leadership Award to long time AADAP supporter Southern California Edison and the Community Leadership Award will be presented to Willie Tokishi from American Honda for representing the AADAP spirit of ‘making a difference.’ The event is rounded out with a silent auction, a raffle, and a dessert reception.

Since 1972, AADAP has been a leader in providing prevention and treatment services to disenfranchised families impacted by the consequences of substance abuse and addiction. AADAP addresses these unmet needs in our community by targeting public and private resources in order to offer the necessary programs that make a difference against the real and far-reaching costs of substance abuse and addition that touch every segment of our society.

    Different program are being hosted in asia and america for relief from drug abusement.This program will change lives of those who are drug addicted and save their families.Narconon Vistabay is such a type of program offering treatment for the drug addicted people.
